It is super inconvenient to go onto the web, log into OneDrive and search for and download x files onto my Macbook Pro just to access and work on a document. I then went to the Owner tab and in the 'Change owner to:' box, highlighted Administrators, and clicked apply also. In the Permission tab I then unchecked the box that said 'Inherit from parent the permission entries.'. ![]() ![]() What I did was to go to properties\security\Advanced. The error will either say “Couldn’t communicate with helper application” OR it will say “File x could not be opened. I figured it out and regained access to my files. Check the box for Full control under Allow. Right-click on the Word file and then select Properties. MacOS Monterey
